An incredible Nigerian Royalty Wedding in Dubai!

Royalty from Nigeria, family from London, venue Magnolia Island Madinat Jumeirah and number of clients serviced in a day 10 :)

So this was definitely a first for me- from the buzz and excitement in the bridal suite at the Armani Hotel at 8:30 a.m, to the hospitality and laughter that definitely made its mark... I worked with the bride, her mother, her aunts and her 6 brides maids for 10 hours straight to create elegant glamour makeup looks for one of the most exquisite Nigerian weddings I have ever seen.

Arabian Princess

So the princess headbands are all over the fashion scene globally and here in the UAE there are seen worn with every thing from jeans to red carpet designer couture!

Recently I had the honor of being the Red Carpet Host and Interviewer for the Asian Business Leadership Awards, third edition, in Dubai and what better way to appear in-front of Royalty and Business tycoons than in Faux Fur, A gold gown and yes a princess headband.

Recreate the look-

Skin- MAC Studio Fix C4 over strobe cream

Eyes- Black Track Fluid line eyeliner

Lids- Wedge Eye shadow by MAC in the socket

Gold glitter on the inner corners.

Brows- Angled brush application of Carbon and Brun eyeshadows.

The Extended Liner

Its totally an Arabian signature style and extending the top liner to both inner corner towards the nose and outwards towards the temples makes the focal point of your eyes speak out with confidence and mystery!

I completed this look with soft lips (MAC Spice), sculpted cheeks (MAC Deeper Refined Bronze, bronzing powder), false lashes and a selectively dewy skin finish (Studio Tech and Studio Fix Powder in NC 40).

Spiky and soft

Yes, sometimes contrasts work best. For a Designer Launch this week I chose to wear a black sari with which I opted for an undone updo, strong lashes and a soft dewy face to bring the whole look together.
This is how it was done (15 mins or less)

Face- Fair and Lovely Forver Glow Cream as moisturizer
MAC- Studio Fix NC 40

Eyes- Crease MAC Wedge Eyeshadow, Inner corner/tear duct and brow bone MAC Vanilla Shadow.
Feline Eyepencil on upper lash line extended both towards inner tear duct and outwards for a straight (yes not upward) wing.
Spiky DIVA lashes by Andrea Mod applied with Dark Lash Glue
Lower lashes lined with MAC Shadow Knight divine one again extending towards the tear duct and at the outer edge extending to meet the upper lash line.

Cheeks- Shadester Contouring Powder by MAC PRO on the cheekbone with Florida cream blush dabbed gently on the apples blending into the contouring for a seamless look.

Lips- Lined with Nice n Spicy Pro Long wear lip pencil by MAC, Filled with MAC Spice Lipstick and a dot of clear lip glass on the center of the lips.

That sparkle on my neck and arms is silver glitter :)
